Campo Abierto, the debut album by the Ian Scionti Trio, is a flamenco-jazz project that explores the dialogue between these two musical traditions. The album arises from a reflection on their connections and evolution, proposing a shared language open to improvisation. The repertoire combines original compositions by Ian Scionti, rooted in flamenco styles, with arrangements of hard-bop pieces, collectively reinterpreted and transformed. The trio, formed in 2013 for the International Guitar Festival of Seville, has developed an international career performing at festivals across Europe and Asia. Their music is characterized by experimentation, the reinterpretation of styles, and the creation of new shared sonic spaces. The group is composed of Ian Scionti (guitar), Javier Delgado (double bass), and Arnaud Clerc (percussion).
